Volatile Sky

Waves of supernatural, flying beasties infest the skies above your home! 
Pilot an upgrade-able shooting drone and slay the oncoming horde to survive. 

In this tiny, single-screen, horde-survival game, I'm attempting to pack the 'survivor-like' experience into a game that lasts only a few minutes. 

HOW TO PLAY:

• Upward thrust: W/Space
  
• Downward thrust: S
• Move Left/Right: A/D
• Shoot Left/Right: Arrows left/right
  
• Upgrades: Collect the yellow orbs dropped by killed monsters
• Floating items: Monsters sometimes drop floating electric-conductors or explosive barrels. Avoid hitting the balloons in order to make strategic use of these items. 

Note: Nothing hurts the drone. The drone cannot take damage from anything and has no collisions besides the ground. 
Only your house takes damage. Use the drone to defend it! 

This game was made for the Alphabet Superset, a creativity challenge about making a new creative piece for each letter of the alphabet.
