Once Upon A Picnic
Tiny open world about an ant at a picnic.
Walk over any surface and find food to eat.
HOW TO PLAY:
- Start game: Enter
- Movement: WASD or Arrows
- Lift or eat: Space
Eat and become stronger. Crumbs, blueberries and strawberries will sustain you. You might even find yourself running off with the bigger snacks like cake and cheese.
Take your time exploring this cute little open world. Climb on things, eat some snacks and relax. You're free to explore and play your way.
I think we wear our inspiration on our sleeves. This game was inspired by the beautiful work in A Short Hike.

Lovely game, the graphics looks amazing and that tiny ant looks adorble and the whole concept of the game is really interesting. However I think it would be better if the game keeps change objects to find, after eating it three times. Maybe it is a bug, but after eating the strawberry there is nothing new to eat.

Yeah that new item in the UI is not so much a bug as a side-effect of not actually getting the intended game-loop in. So there's something of an objective to follow but it doesn't really resolve.
I'm super proud of the little world we managed to create, but we're definitely be looking to close off the game-loop in coming updates. Either that or pull out the UI and really lean into the explorative nature.
